Conclusion.

The Milwaukee 6955-20  12 Inch Sliding Dual Miter Saw is a good all around chop saw for all your wood shop or contractor needs. It has the cutting capacity for smaller finishing cuts on moldings to large up to 13 inch cuts. The advantage of the clear rail guard is quite obvious compared to some of the opaque shields out there where you can’t see the cut line at all.

This saw has the capability to make precision cuts smoothly and effectively, making adjustments with it’s built in digital miter system. Lacking in this system is the ever increasingly evident laser line system that makes sighting the line of cut and assurance of being on target easier. That being said, the dual worksite lights standard on this saw are a great help, especially at dusk when those last few cuts are necessary. This is a feature that isn’t often present or even available on chop saws, but one that comes in handy quite often.

The bottom line is that the Milwaukee 6955-20  12 Inch Sliding Dual Miter Saw will fit the needs and budget for most looking for a good solid chop saw that will cut just about any diameter you need to cut.  A great feature is the constant power technology that ensures constant even rpm for tough cuts. This isn’t really a compound saw that is easily moved from job site to job site with any kind of ease, considering a weight of over 65 lbs.

Overlooking the few minor complaints the majority of reviews are very favorable, as this chop saw performs exactly as it suggests.
